Rose Garden
The Rose Garden is part of the Rosenhöhe in Darmstadt, a landscaped garden in the English style.
The park was build in 1810 from Michael Zeyher at the place of a former vineyard.
The Rose Garden with the Rose Dome was build in the time of grand duke Ernst Ludwig at the beginning
of the last century.
Since 1979 the city of Darmstadt takes care of the garden. It was partly destroyed and neglected in
the World Wars. Today it is restored to its historic appearence and a lovely place to go. The nearby
botanical garden of the TU-Darmstadt is worth a visit too.
